1. Tell me about a time when you suffered from an injury or were in pain.

It happened when i was in primary 4 at 10 yrs old. i suffered from a severe pain in my right ear which cannot be tolerated. It was so unbearable that i could not even concentrate well in my studies at that period of time. Moreover, that year was important, because it was the streaming year. The pain also put a heavy and irritating burden during my sleep everytime and i could do nothing to stop the pain. Therefore, my parents sent me for an x-ray. After all, all the pain was due to a small pea in my ear, and till now i cannot figure it out how it got there. I had a very minor operation to get that pea out. It only took a short period of time and finally i was so relieved from the pain and i was back to normal. For two days i had to put cotton wool in my ear when bathing to prevent the water from going in.

2. The use of alternative medicine is bcoming very widespread. Why might this be so?

The first and foremost thing about alternative medicine is that it is effective in a quick and advantaegous way. Of course, the conventional medicine, that comes in creams, tablets, syrups.etc are also effective, but most people believe that they are only satisfying the immune system but not their minds. Thus, alternative medicine fulfills the full confidence and satisfaction for the particular illness.
It is also becoming widespread as it perceives illness biographically and at the same time, uses the powerful database of modern science, while the conventional medicine is consumed with minimal eduacational knowledge of what makes up the medicine, and in other words, what is in it.
Through alternative medicine, people can also have the pleasant feeling of being cured for that specific problem. For instance, in conventional medicine, one medicine can be used for about two illnesses, for e.g antibiotics, while in alternative medicine, the treatment is applied specially on the area on the body with specific ,accurate and the best medicine to be used.
For example, i once had a very bad and worst sore throat in India. Thus, instead of using western medicine, spearmint leaves , which were grown in our backyard, were mixed in warm water, after which, the water was consumed. It took away almost all the sore throat, which was so relaxing to my mind after that.
